In keeping with our parent company, Nippon Seiki’s (NS) standards and ethos, UK-NSI aims to operate successfully within the European market as a manufacturing base for driver information systems.
Our Main Purpose is;

UK-NSI focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility as a fundamental aspect of it’s operations, covering areas such as:

Implementing environmentally friendly practices to minimise the ecological footprint of the Company. This often involves reducing waste, promoting recycling, and using sustainable resources.

Economic
UK-NSI records all business transactions accurately, prudently and transparently in compliance with accounting policies as detailed in the annual report and accounts, and in accordance with best practice.
Strong systems of internal control are an essential aspect of UK-NSI structure and serve to ensure that it is managed effectively and that reported results are accurate.
Systems are in place to monitor and report to the board of UK-NSI the effectiveness of internal controls and the ongoing risk management process for identifying, evaluating and managing significant business risk.

We are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking. UK-NSI requires all suppliers to our business to comply not only with the law, but also to commit to UK-NSI ‘social responsibility’ requirements, as set out in our Corporate Social Responsibility Manual. This agreement is a wide ranging document aimed at ensuring all people involved in the supply chain supporting UK-NSI are treated humanely and fairly and that as a minimum national standards of working hours, remuneration, health and safety and environmental standards are met.

Gender Pay Gap Reporting

UK-NSI Tax Strategy

We are committed to the highest standards of behaviour, quality, honesty, openness and accountability. If you feel the need to report any alleged wrongdoing or malpractice, you can contact us in a number of ways. Environmental
Care for the Environment is at the heart of everything UK NSI does. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint by adopting eco-friendly practices, conserving natural resources, and minimizing waste. Through innovation and responsible business decisions, we strive to create a more sustainable future for our planet and future generations.
Through our continued implementation of the ISO 14001 management system, we strive to integrate care for the Environment and Environmental best practice into all of our business activities. While we are proud of the huge advancements that we have made in this area we believe as a company that we can always continue to improve and further reduce our environmental impact.
We endeavour to analyse and record carbon outputs at every stage of our manufacturing processes to better identify improvement opportunities and to develop Life Cycle Carbon Footprints for our products.
By continuing to employ the most up-to-date manufacturing processes available we are able to increase the efficiency of our processes, eliminating waste before it is ever produced.”

Health & Safety
At UK-NSI we see our people as the most important resources that we possess, and so we see caring for their well-being as paramount. To achieve this with we have an integrated Health and Safety management system that inputs into all our processes, spanning from our newest employees to our most senior directors.
Our dedicated team of Health and Safety professionals help us to work towards the continual improvement of our activities, making them safer, more efficient and more consistent. We use a range of industry leading machinery, digital solutions and data driven approaches to support our Health and Safety activities, ensuring that we identify opportunities for improvement as early as possible and allowing us to remain at the forefront of Health and Safety best practice.
We strive to foster a culture of Health and Safety and safety excellence where our employees feel confident to bring forward any suggestions they may have, this allows us to be responsive to the needs of the work force and to adopt practical, people driven solutions to the challenges posed by a constantly developing business landscape.
To ensure that we continue to meet the highest standards we implement a rigorous audit schedule, utilising trained and experienced Internal Auditors and expert External Auditors to give us constant feedback. We then confirm the effectiveness of this through our ongoing certification to ISO 45001.
Training & Development
Investing in our people and future
Our workforce is our greatest asset. We are committed to investing in training development, coaching, and skills to ensure that team members possess the necessary knowledge and behaviours that align with the company’s values and objectives.
On the job training, off line training, professional, legal and regulatory training is provided to all employees, and comprehensive records are maintained for all training completed. Future training needs for each employee are identified as part of the process.
We have Team Leader and Manager programs delivered through an accredited provider.
We also have an offline training facility for Manufacturing specific training where all relevant information for each team member takes place.
We also have a certified in house IPC trainer delivering a training program which gives training on the industry standard for electronic assembly, which defines acceptance and defect criteria. As a member it allows us to have access to resources to keep team members up to speed with the latest innovations, thus keeping the team up to date with the leading edge of requirements.
We encourage a team environment where all departments work alongside each other to ensure a quality product is produced right first time. Team members are deeply involved within this process, often taking their ideas and implementing them into the areas.
